30 Days Out, October 2025 #1: Everything Yes, Reed Turchi, Joanne Shaw Taylor, The Beths
Jazz fusion, blues, a homecoming and rock from New Zealand. It’s all great, and it’s all coming to Asheville in the next 30 days. Buckle up!
Artist: Everything Yes
Venue: Asheville Music Hall
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 1, 8 p.m.
Door: $20.85
Don’t let the name mislead you: Everything Yes is neither an Up With People variant nor a tribute band covering the compete catalog of progressive heroes. No, this six-piece is a jazz fusion unit. Everything Yes makes a sound reminiscent at times of ‘70s fusion, but there’s a timeless vibe to the music as well.
Artist: Reed Turchi
Venue: Grey Eagle
Date: Wednesday, Oct. 15, 5:30 p.m.
Door: $11.65
The musical journey of Ashevilel native Reed Turchi has taken him far and wide, including time spent working at Ardent Studio in Memphis. Turchi returns to his roots with this hometown show, part of his full-band tour in support of World on Fire, an album he describes as a “second chapter of Tallahatchie,” the latter a record I wrote about some years ago.
Artist: Joanne Shaw Taylor
Venue: Wortham Center
Date: Tuesday, Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m.
Door: $53
Born in England’s West Midlands, Taylor is a celebrated guitarist who plays the blues. Inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan, she has won numerous awards and has been championed by Joe Bonamassa and others. A prolific artist, Taylor has released ten albums to date; 2025’s Black & Gold is her latest.
Artist: The Beths
Venue: Orange Peel
Date: Thursday, Oct. 30, 8 p.m.
Door: $33.07
Auckland-based The Beths are a critically-acclaimed indie rock band with power pop textures. Launched in 2014, the group’s second album climbed to the #2 spit in their home country; 2022’s Expert in a Dying Field claimed the top spot. The latter also made it to #6 on the U.S. Heatseekers chart. The Beths released their fourth and latest album, Straight Line Was a Lie on August 29.
See you at the shows!
