Interview Roundup: The New Mastersounds
At this point, I can’t quite recall how I first learned of The New Mastersounds. It may well have been more than 15 years ago when I received a review copy of Live at la Cova or maybe Eddie Roberts’ solo album Roughneck. I do know that I was immediately won over by the (then-Leeds-based) band’s winning combination of soulful, exploratory musicianship and accessible melodic groove. I’ve since reviewed quite a few of their releases, seen them live a few times, and interviewed them on multiple occasions.

Bill Kopp
With a background in marketing and advertising, Bill Kopp got his professional start writing for Trouser Press. After a stint as Editor-in-chief for a national music magazine, Bill launched Musoscribe in 2009, and has published new content every business day since then (and every single day since 2018).
