Happy New Year!

Happy New Year. Congratulations on making it to the other side, on surviving what my Dad calls “amateur night.” Like (I hope) most of you, I am taking today off. Relatively speaking, we Americans don’t get much in the way of (paid) vacation days, and those among us who are self-employed (like myself) effectively get none.

These last five and a half years of the Musoscribe blogzine have been a lot of fun; I expect the next five and half (and beyond) to be the same, if not better. I have a lot in store. In the short term, here’s just some of what readers can expect to find here:

Reviews of New Music by
Sid Griffin, John Wetton with District 97, Victor Krummenacher, Jessica Hernandez & the Deltas, Gong, Lloyd Cole, and many artists whose names you might not recognize.

Reviews of Compilations and Reissues from…
Larry Coryell and Eleventh House, Jethro Tull, Old 97’s, Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Miles Davis, Stories, Game Theory, and many more.

Reviews of Books About…
Led Zeppelin, the British Invasion (aka Beat Era), The Clash, much more.

DVDs Featuring…
Genesis, Jack Bruce, Frank Zappa, Yes, Queen, Johnny Thunders, DEVO, and many others.

Interviews With…
Pugwash’s Thomas Walsh, The Moody Blues’ Ray Thomas, Trip Shakespeare, Jamie Hoover, Dwight Twilley, and quite a few others yet to be announced.

As This is Spinal Tap‘s Marty DiBergi might say, “But hey: enough of my yakkin’. Let’s boogie!”
